Green Pasture’s Fermented Cod Liver Oil and Concentrated Butter Oil Capsules combine two nutrient-dense whole foods - two-thirds raw fermented cod liver oil and one-third raw butter oil. The pairing was originally inspired by the work of Dr. Weston A. Price in the 1930s, who observed that cod liver oil and nutrient-rich butter oil provided complementary nutrition, with butter oil being a natural source of what is now recognised as vitamin K2.
About the Ingredients
- Raw Butter Oil Concentrated Through Centrifugation
Concentrated by centrifugation from cream sourced from cows grazing on rapidly growing green grass on the Northern Great Plains of Nebraska (May–October). Grass feeding during peak growth provides a naturally rich source of fat-soluble nutrients, including vitamin K2. Approximately 4kg of cream is required to produce 225g of Raw Butter Oil.

Cod liver oil has long been valued as a traditional food source. This oil is produced using a slow lacto-fermentation process and gently extracted without heat over 6 to 12 months. Unlike many modern cod liver oils made from farmed fish, this oil is sourced from MSC-certified sustainable cod, wild-caught in the Alaska region.

No Fishy Aftertaste

I found after a bit of research that despite the price if this item it is actually very cost effective considering the dense nutrition, high quality of the ingredients and synergistic effects. Very good bang for your buck and my favorite omega 3 supplement so far.

Goodbye fishy aftertaste!

After reading about the fermented version benefits, I decided to give it a go and I'm happy I did. A noticeable improvement in my knee pain (can't say I feel it at all now) and muscle soreness following exercise. Easy to swallow capsule too. Win, Win.

Does it all

As stated by others below - definite mood elevation, significant concentration improvements (helps with university), noticeable muscle recovery, cleared my skin and improved my partners hormonal acne when not much else has had an impact. Fantastic product, would not touch a multivitamin again.

I started taking the Blue Ice Royal Fermented Cod Liver Oil / Butter Oil after researching lots of different fish oil brands out on the market. Nothing came close to the ingredients and because Professional Whey produce high quality ingredients I knew I was onto a winner. Well blow me down... I dont feel like my shoulder is full of rust anymore, My range of movement has increased without pain and its really helped me push thru. Do I notice a difference when I dont plan ahead and run out? YES, yes I do.. I go back to creaking and it feels like my shoulder is pinching. I will be taking this for life. Best investment into my health.

An Amazing Superfood

His moods have dramatically stabilised and his normally poor immune system is doing a much better job at fighting off colds etc, which usually tend to drag out for weeks/months but have shortened in duration and lessened in severity. These are just the improvements I can see outwardly, I can't imagine how many other internal benefits FCLO is having on his body. A must in any household.

best for joints

Placebo or not I'm buying again!
By: Genevieve McAvoy on 6 June 2012I swear this product has helped reduce the pain I feel in my knees after running a fair distance. I've only been using them for a couple of months but I've noticed a marked improvement in how far I can run before the twinge in my knees begin and it's the only thing I've changed in my diet. They taste terrible though - I suggest taking with a flavoured drink. Luckily there is very minimal fishy aftertaste so it's only a moment's discomfort.
